What time should we arrive at the boat?Please arrive at the dock 15-30 minutes before your trip starts. Please apply sunscreen before boarding (fish don’t like sunscreen).

How much do I have to pay to make a reservation?A 20% deposit is due on all trips when booking.

What is included in the trip's cost?All fishing equipment and license are supplied. You will need to bring what you want to eat or drink. Ice and water will be provided. Please bring a small cooler to take home your catch!!

What type of fishing or boating experience will we have?Fishing Charters: You will be fishing the shallow water off Homossasa, Crystal River, Wacassasa Bay on a 2019 Carolina skiff. We will be fishing for trout, redfish, snook, ladyfish, snapper, tarpon , shallow water grouper. The springs from Weeki Wachee to Horseshoe Beach are incredible! Millions of gallons of freshwater are pumped out of the group per minute. The constant 72 degrees that it comes out of the springs creates an estuary like no other. Sunset Cruises and Manatee Viewing will be on a 20 ft 2019 Carolina skiff. There is a general store and restroom at dock. Plenty of local restaurants on the water to stop at.

What facilities are available on board?We stop off at an island or two if we need to stretch are legs, and for our longer trips we do carry a campers toilet on board.

What is the cancellation policyTrips cancelled within 48 hours will receive a full refund. Trips cancelled due to weather will receive another day of choice or a full refund. Trips cancelled within 48 hours of scheduled departure will receive $0 refund.

How do you handle emergencies?In case of emergency... I will probably cut you up into small pieces for chum, refund your card, and act like I never heard of you!! All kidding aside, Safety is no joke!!! The boat is equipped with a marine radio and all USCG required safety equipment. 99% of the time cell phones will work.

What is your experience and background as a captain?Captain Dexter is a USCG licensed Master Captain with more than 40 years on the water! He has been fishing his entire life. From cane poles catching brim and snapper in the 70s at his grandfathers restaurant (Alabama Jacks) on cardsound road Key Largo, to fishing marlin in Costa Rica... His Aunt had a home in Islandmoroda, FL where he spent every summer of his young life until he was 22.... Catching lobster, bill fish, tarpon, mahi, all in the same day. Captain Dexter moved to St. Pete in 2004 and started fishing the mid-Gulf, Tampa bay, Clearwater, and Tarpon Springs are some of his favorite spots. In 2016, Captain Dexter moved to Weeki Wachee and started fishing Crystal River area. "It is an amazing fishery" according to Captain Dexter. Captain Dexter has the knowledge and experience to ensure your safety. Additionally, he has the latest in safety equipment and electronics on board. Your family is sure to have a fun and safe trip.
